Water is my element

Water is my element. As a child in a mother’s womb. Where it all begins in that silence before any sound. Water is my element. Wherever there is water, I am in it. No matter how cold or hot. It is almost a meditation exercise . I learned to swim before I learned to walk.

Swimming is the way to connect, relax, feel, concentrate, focus, daydream… After swimming there is a feeling of relaxation, non tension, openness and clearness that lasts at least for the day. Dopamine all over that makes me feel so connected to nature. Truely one of my mantras is ” We are One ” not only to people but to everything that surrounds us.

Pelut : A promise is a promise

Who takes who for a walk? For some time now in this pandemic era, dogs were the way of getting out for a walk in Spain . This is not the reason why I have a dog. Actually I was the so called Resistance as I didn´t want to have a dog at home. Already in the past I had already had a dog, Toffee, a funny brown cocker Spaniel with a wiggly tail.

In the middle of the confinement we promised our 3 kids Roger, Abril and Jana that if we ever moved from the flat we used to live in to a house, we would have a dog…and so it happened. An opportunity arose that we couldn´t refuse. As a man his word we went to get the new member of our family Pelut. His name  suites him perfectly, Hairy. A Catalan Sheperd dog that is my friend and shadow.

A Room to the world

Amazingly as a speaker during these last years there have been many great oportunities to connect with the corporate world withh the mission of creating connection with people located in their in own homes and offices around the world.

Our team had to face differente challenges such as number of people at the zoom, team, google meet, skype or other meeting in the differnte platforms we used for 1.500, 800, 700, 150 or small groups with 80 or less people handling delay for music.

From this situation some great learnings flourished about the power not only of the message but the energy of the speaker. Connection is possible face to face or on line. The choice is yours

The day I discovered rhythm could change the world

In my early days, I was surrounded by music, piano, dancing, …and always loved it. But learning sports, having less time and taking part in different hobbies made me leave playing music behind. There were 2 moments when the connection to rhythm was highly intense  apart from  when I went clubbing with my friends. My first moment back to playing music was in Ibiza at a Full moon party in Benirràs Cove where my first djembe appeared . This djembe has been with me since then and I still drum along in my backyard, Vilanova´s beach.

My second moment was when I was in Australia following always music and learning from great masters. Since then I enrolled in many classes of many different styles introducing them in my playing. In my master degree of Musictherapy I discovered the power of Drum Circle Facilitation and it shifted my approach in many aspects: towards trainings, leadership and motivation.

Slowly, I became aware of the fact that rhythm is everywhere and

can change the world.

And if this happened to me

it could happen to you.
